Teaching a Dog to Talk on Leash? How to I teach my dog to walk on a leash? What kind of collar do I use because he has a funny shaped neck and can slip out of most collars. I have heard of these things called Greyhound collars that tightent when pulled, are these ok for walks?
Get a gentle leader. They are like a horse's halter. They fit similarly, only they clasp behind the head. The leash attaches under the jaw. Since I started using this my 80 lb lab doesn't pull me anymore. I got mine at Petco, they are also carried at Petsmart.
