Has anyone used a dog shock bark collar and it made their dog aggressive or had bad effects? I have heard things about people using shock collars and it makes their dogs aggressive and even sometimes toward the owner under certain circumstances. Is this true and under what circumstances does this occur? Has anyone used it and have gotten good results? Also, if you do use one do you have to use it forever?

Someone also reminded me of something. How can a dog associate the shocking to you if they have short memories??
I have used the sonic (high beep sound) collars, and they work very well, and don't traumatize the dog..They are at WalMart for about $35..
